Seven hundred and twenty-seven days passed from the last day of the 2020 ATA Trade Show to the first day of the 2022 Show, which was Jan. 7-9 in Louisville, Kentucky. The gap in gatherings was apparent as attendees and exhibitors hugged, shook hands, laughed, talked business and shared stories from the past two years. The in-person event invigorated spirits, helped companies plan for the year, and brought a sense of normalcy to the archery and bow hunting industry.
ATA provide timely, relevant and beneficial educational opportunities at the Trade Show. The 2022 Show offers seminars, Coffee Talks, instructor certification classes and the all-encompassing Archery Industry Masterclass. You’ll find presentations on sales, finances, customers, marketing, insurance, shooting techniques and product and industry trends.
Overall, the Show drew 4302 individuals. Each member category had good representation. Buyers from 548 retail accounts took to the Show floor to interact with over 450 exhibitors. Several ATA partners, nonprofit groups and media members also attended.
The member attended the ATA show was pleased and surprised by the 2022 Show. “The crowds are less than normal, but everyone that is here wants to buy.” he said. “The good thing is that there is no wait to get in to talk to people or look at products and pricing. Sales are better than we expected considering all the COVID and weather problems in the country.”
As well the 44th SHOT Show Jan. 18 - 21exceeded expectations in many respects.
“With our largest floor plan in history, more than 2,400 attending exhibitors, and thousands of buyers here to make new and meaningful connections, we couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome of this SHOT Show,” said Chris Dolnack, NSSF Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer. “This is a very tactile business, and it means a lot to buyers to be able to see and handle our industry’s products in person. ”
Considering the COVID and other problems, S&S sport is not able to participate in the shows this year. Hope to attend the shows in 2023 and meet our customers face to face!
